The trends monitored by Linkfluence's technology work like opinion polls, i.e., they give a snapshot of online public opinion on selected topics at a specific time. What the data shows is that the candidates' Web sites are not linking to influential political blogs and the blogs are not linking back to the candidates' Web sites.
